Big Iron 2010

Thanks to everyone who came out to visit the Edney booth at the both the Minnesota and South Dakota State Fairs. We enjoyed all types of interesting weather and had the opportunity to speak with lots of Fair visitors. I'm proud of the Edney team members who made it all happen and of the equipment we displayed on each site.

Held in North Dakota, Big Iron 2010 is coming soon. We hope you'll stop by and say hello. If you're interested in learning more about Big Iron and their 30th anniversary, follow the link I've attached to find a great article published by the West Fargo Pioneer.

Hope you had a great labor day! I personally took my kids fishing in WI and enjoyed a lovely trout dinner courtesy of my son.

Summer Shows

It's hard to believe that August is already here!

With all of the rain this season, the crops (and our lawns) are looking beautiful and green. WI Technology Days and Farmfest are behind us. Our thanks to all who visited our booths and spoke with our team members. Soaked head to toe, I had to laugh when the announcer came over the PA system at Technology Days and instructed us to "enjoy the grounds" until we had permission to exit the parking lots because the show was cancelled due to the pouring rain (and the resulting mud that we were all squishing around in).

Congrats to Pamela L. of Alma, WI and Steve M. of Hancock, MN who won the prize drawings for WI Farm Tech Days and Farm Fest!! There is still time for you to get in on the action and win great prizes. You can enter a drawing on the homepage of our website and enter in-person at our booths at upcoming events. Items like Estate Rakes, Jacto backpack sprayers, and cool Edney gear are up for grabs!

So far this season, there has been considerable interest in our Grasshopper mowers, Farm King grain augers, the Wallenstein wood processor, and Brushwolf rotary cutters (for more information on these or any of our other great products, click on Products at our website www.edneyco.com). We're looking forward to visiting with you at Dakotafest and discussing your equipment needs over a corn dog at the MN State Fair.

Can you believe early orders are starting to roll in for snowblowers?!?

Buhler Industries Factory Grand Opening

Today is an exciting day for our business partners at Buhler Industries, Inc.! They have invited government officials (including the governer of SD), business partners, and community members to attend the grand opening of their new factory. Purchased from Feterl Manufactuing Corp. of Salem, SD in February of this year, Buhler plans to use the aquisition to expand their line of Farm King grain handling equipment and increase their auger manufacturing capacity.

Representing Edney Distributing Company, Inc. at the event are Doug Edney (President), Gary Berger (Sales Manager), and Kirk Swenson (SD Territory Manager). Partnering with Buhler and our dealer network, we believe that the end users will benefit from this growth by gaining greater access to high quality equipment for an even larger variety of needs.

We are happy to join in the celebration and wish our friends at Buhler success with this venture.

Check out EdneyCo's Twitter account for pictures of the event later this afternoon.

Inaugural Post

It's a rainy spring day outside our windows in Lakeville, MN. Here at Edney Distributing we have been brainstorming ideas of ways to connect with our dealers, potential dealers, and the end users of our products. We'd love to hear what you have to say about our company, our products, the industry, and other things that are on your mind.

In the coming weeks, Edney team members will take turns contributing to this blog. So here's our first question: what type of content are you interested in reading/talking about?
